Term life insurance

Term life pays a benefit if you die during a chosen period, such as 10, 20 or 30 years. Many families use it while a mortgage is outstanding or children are still dependent.

What term life is for

Term coverage is often chosen when the need is temporary: replacing income, covering a mortgage or helping a partner or children stay financially stable if something happens to you.

Policies typically last for a fixed term. When the term ends, coverage ends unless you renew, convert or buy a new policy — options depend on the company and product.

What we do not invent here

Premiums depend on age, health, amount of coverage, term length and underwriting. We do not publish sample rates on this site. A Shadow Lake Brokerage advisor can walk through illustrations from the markets they access.
